Islamia University: 50 complete short IT courses

Islamia University Bahawalpur offers several short courses with the aim of providing young people with employable skills, said Vice Chancellor Prof Muhammad Mukhtar at a certificate ceremony marking the end of a short information technology course here on Saturday.


The ceremony was arranged by the Punjab Skill Development Fund. The IUB has started short technical courses in art and design, agriculture, engineering and veterinary and dairy development as well, said the vice chancellor. He said that educated and skilled youth would bring progress and prosperity to Pakistan. He said youths made up a large proportion of the population and their education was critical for the development of the country. He congratulated the 50 young people who completed the computer network administration and the computer hardware courses. He handed out tool kits to the graduates, who were from Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, Lodhran and Bahawalnagar. IT Department Chairman Prof Shahid Naveed also attended the ceremony.
