Gunmen kill seven Shias in Quetta: Police
"Four gunmen riding two motorbikes intercepted a bus near Hazar Ganji area, pulled five Shia vegetable sellers off the vehicle and shot them dead," senior local police official Wazir Khan Nasir told AFP.
He said in a second incident, two motorbike riders sprayed bullets at two Shias in the Hazar Ganji area, on the outskirts of Quetta, killing both of them.
Another local police official Mukhtar Musakhel confirmed the incident and casualties.
Nobody has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks.
FC given police powers for two months
The provincial government of Balochistan on Saturday decided to delegate powers of the police to the Frontier Corps in a bid to improve the law and order situation particularly after several incidents of targeted sectarian killings in the province.
FC personnel can now make arrests, search houses and detain people for questioning, an official said.

They could approach a lawyer from India especially the place they were originally from- for example the mohalla or area in India. I donot know how it works, but I can assure you the Shias of India live a very good life. They are from all walks of life, doctors, engineers, teachers, in the armed forces [ like chief of air staff Idris Hassan Latif - you can see his wiki] but are businessmen mostly. It must be so distressing for you in your present situation but I can only advise you. India is a big country and there is always place for it's children.

Those people here that are commenting that the article here should not mention that hazaras or shias were killed because what's going on in Pakistan is just lawlessness with all being affected, I'm assuming that you would also agree then that what happened in Gujarat in India after godhra was also not an attack on Muslims but just random violence and lawlessness as happens in India against the Naxalites, Assamese, Biharis etc? Which of course are again not attacks against those communities but a general state of impunity, right? The 2-nation theory has wheels within wheels. Muslims can not live with Hindus. Sunnis can not live with Ahmadiyas. Similarly Sunnis and Shias can not live together in one country.
I will urge all Shias in Pakistan to relocate to Gilgit-Baltistan and declare autonomy as Pakistan constitution does not recognize Kashmir territory as part of Pakistan. G-B with Shia majority may have close business and social bonds with Shias of Indian Kashmir next door in Kargil and the rest of India. One of Iranian Ayatollah (big one) was from Lucknow, India.

I have a solution to solve this problem:
All Shias living in Pakistan must relocate themselves to Gilgit-Baltistan which used to be a majority Shia territory in Kashmir state. Once in G-B, they can ask Pakistan government go for much-cherished plebesite by Pakistan government. This will bring Sunni establishment to admit and change their behaviors else G-B can merge with the Indian Kashmir where Shias are living peacefully in Kargil and many other areas. There are between 15 to 20% of the population that means almost 30 to 35 million. If half of them move to G-B, things will become better for them.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a shia, organized muslims against Hindus and unleashed the day of direct action against Hindus. I hope, shais , do not end up paying a price for the action and ideology of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Depending on when you were born and documentary evidence such as whether your father was an Indian citizen at the time of your birth, you may or may not be eligible for Indian citizenship. Some information is here. . Would urge you to contact other members of your community in India and abroad and see what you can come up with. I have known many Shias of various sects in India throughout my life and I can tell you that they have some of the most vibrant communities and are well to do. Trust you know that India has the second largest Shia community after Iran.

Pakistan is very unfortunate country and we are very unfortunate people.our rulers committed great sins and crimes in the name of religion.Religion was the basic issue for creating this country.one million were killed in 1947 and a million were killed in 1971, millions were made refugees. In the recent wave of militancy one hundred Pakistani citizens,soldiers and police were killed.in the last 65 years serious problems were mishandled.We have become an intolerant crowd.A few days back I was watching a TV programe in which Dr A.Q khan said about a minority that they are ghadars, the host Liaqat amir and the people sitting start clapping.I believe every one is trying its best to ruin this society.Writ of state don't exist, it exists only for small criminals and the big shots are destroying the society, I warned that if society collapses it will be very destructive and dangerous even than the collapse of state.Common Shia and Sunni are just like brothers, but the extremists religious are cutting the roots of this brother hood.there should be equal rights for minorities and no different laws. Pakistani Muslims are living arond the world in non Muslim states, we must consider the welfare of them while making policies for minorities in Pakistan.

There are only two practical ways in which you will be free of sectarian killings - the first is if you become a Sufi and the second is if you become an Atheist (not a communist). Being a Sufi means your heart is filled with love and you will love all mankind alike - Momin & Kafir - there is non-duality (Advaita) - you and I are one and the same. An atheist does not believe in God so it does not matter what your religion is.
The Salafi path on which Pakistan and many other Muslim countries are on will only lead to violence - initially directed towrads non-muslim minorities and when they are difficult to find muslim minorities will be targeted and when these are gone, the Salafis will target each other. The color of your clothes, length of your beard, the manner of walking, which books you keep in your house, etc etc will all be points on which you will be discriminated against and maybe killed.

It is simply not possible that the Agencies and the people who matter are not aware of the people who are killing SHIAS. They know but stopping this requires GUTS and POLITICAL WILL and that is what our leadership and those who are in power, lack.

These people were killed because they were Shia. If you want to bring the people together then the killings need to stop. Just hiding facts will not change relaity.
The Government has failed therefore everyone should take arms to secure themselves. To counter terrorism the best option at the moment is defend yourself by arming yourself. Do or Die.
The common citizens of Pakistan are feeling helpless. What can they do? Best policy is to keep quiet and save your own life! But that won't solve the problem. Should we just grin and bear it then?
