10 killed, 18 injured as car bomb rips through Peshawar market
The blast site is located around 100 yards away from the Matani police station.
The injured have been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital, Express News reported.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, the eyewitness said that a huge explosion was heard near the market after which he saw bodies scattered in the area.
Ambulances were rushed to the area immediately as additional number of police personnel made way to the spot.
A senior police official confirmed the explosion in Matani, a village on the outskirts of Peshawar city, close to the Khyber Agency and FR Darra Adamkhel.
Home minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Mian Iftikhar Hussain told AFP that three men brought a vehicle to a workshop and when a mechanic was working on it the blast occurred.
"We are investigating whether the car was brought to (the) workshop for mechanical repairs or to plant a bomb, or whether the bomb had already been planted and it went off during repair," Hussain said.

So where are the mullahs who so piously rile up the public to demonstrate against the U.S. when the drones “violate” Pak territory to kill terrorists in territory over which Pak does not even have nominal control?
Somehow I must have missed the part in the Holy Koran where it gives permission to Muslims to kill other innocent Muslims, or for that matter any innocent person. Is this what we call sharia law?

They also want us to believe it is not our war even though over 40,000 Pakistanis have been brutally murdered, blown up or beheaded. Sorry to say but there is too much love for these fanatic killers among rightwing parties in Pakistan. That is why the terrorists only kill ANP or PPP leaders not PTI or PML-N leaders.

This village has seen maximum damage at the hands of TTP. Salute to their unyielding courage and resolute fearlessness. Our Judiciary and media have a lot to learn from the sacrifices of this village. They have laid their lives but have not succumbed to the terrorists. Our Judiciary should also pledge not to spare the criminals and terrorists due to fear. Our Media should also not cover their press releases like most of them do.
