Power supply tower exploded by unidentified persons in Charsadda

Police said the tower was partially destroyed after three bombs exploded in its base.

SHABQADAR, CHARSADDA: Unidentified persons destroyed 132 KV transmission power supply line by planting bombs with the base of the tower in Samanat area of tehsil Shabqadar  in Charsadda district on Wednesday.

SHO Gul Shaid of Sro Kallay police said that the tower was partially destroyed after three bombs were exploded in its base at around 12:30am adding that the tower was erected in a field having sugarcane crop,” the transmission line was providing electricity  to Mohmand Agency from Peshawar” the SHO said.

The officer Gul Shaid said that the bombs which weigh three kilogrammes each blasted with a huge bang and panicked the locals.
