Results: JUI-F candidate wins Bannu by-poll

Seat had fallen vacant after the death of Ziad Akram Durrani, son of the opposition leader in the K-P Assembly.

The by-election for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly seat on PK-70 constituency, Bannu, was won by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) candidate Irfanullah Khan Durrani — the only candidate out of four  who represented a political party.


According to a statement issued by K-P Provincial Election Commission Office, a total of 41,141 votes were cast, of which 147 were rejected — a 32.6% turnout rate. Irfanullah got 38,417 votes, Rahmatullah Kaka Jan received 738 votes, Sadullah 278 and Sadiqur Rahman 715 votes.

The seat had fallen vacant after the sudden death of Ziad Akram Durrani, son of the opposition leader in the K-P Assembly, Akram Khan Durrani.
