Beyond earth: KU to host conference on space sciences

KARACHI: The first national two-day conference on space sciences will be held from October 8 at the Karachi University. This will be held in collaboration with the Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics (ISPA). The institute is now accepting submissions for lectures and presentations. “Space for Human Safety and Security” is the theme to mark the 2012 World Space Week, said ISPA Director Dr Jawed Iqbal. Cosmology, astrophysics, relativity, atmospheric and environmental sciences along with other topics will be presented. Those interested can send their abstracts to [email protected]
