PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa senior minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour said on Saturday that local government elections for the province have been delayed by the Election Commission (EC) and not because of the provincial government. While talking to a TV channel, Bilour said that local government elections could not be held without electoral lists and the Election Commission had just issued the lists this. He said that the EC was responsible for the delay and that the provincial government was prepared to hold the elections within the next three months. Bilour further said that a three-member committee had been formed for new constituencies that would be partaking in this election.
