India. Eid for Pakistan was an extra happy affair. The Lahore Grammar School delegation for Harvard Model United Nations India 2012 made it back home across the border yesterday winning the competition and bringing back a few souvenirs.
Represented by Mahnoor Faisal Khan, Neha Mukhtar, Ayesha Anjum, Shaheera Saleem, Maaheen Afzaal and Raza Goraya, LGS Defense bagged a Best Delegation Award (School Award) as Norway with three out of its six team members winning as best delegates and one as honourable mention in their independent committees. (Mahnoor Faisal Khan, Ayesha Anjum, Maaheen Afzaal and Shaheera Saleem).
Perhaps even more remarkable was the fact that LGS Defense and KGS won two out of the three coveted school awards at a conference in Hyderabad India, with more than 1,000 delegates representing 199 countries.

This is good news for LGS and Pakistan on Eid day. We have a lot of talent in Pakistan. We just need good honest leaders to turn around Pakistan
At school level, many Pakistani students do very well but suddenly become average when they enter colleges and universities and fade away forever in their professional lives. My advice to these young students is that do not burn all your fuel now.
@Kulamarva Balakrishna: come on man do make indians look ahead
Congratulations and well done!
I just hope one day our govt schools are so good that they are able to represent us in these competitions, a common Pakistani representing us rather than these elites...
Vienna,August 25,2012 Thank you LGS means Lahore Grammar School, KGS means not Kinder Garten School but Karachi Grammar School. I hope the contest was peaceful without any suicide involved. All the best for all peaceful competitions. Shun violence. Taravadu Taranga Trust for Media Monitoring TTTMM India --Kulamarva Balakrishna
Pakistan have unbelieveable people.. Awesome Guyz keep it Up! :)
Excellent!!!
@ Ali: not the case. The awards were: best small delegation, which LGS won, outstanding large delegation, which was the runner up award for large delegations ( and won by an Indian school) and best large delegation, won by KGS. I know someone on the KGS delegation, who told me this themselves, so be assured of the accuracy of this information.
WOW !
Congratulations!!!
@Hyder ali these are held in Pakistan. This particular one is at an international level but Nust university and FC college held it recently too. Keep checking around you will find it....or get in touch with these places there kids may help you set it up in your college or uni. Best of luck...Its really interesting!
