Crime: House burgled; three held; three booked

Cases have been registered under relevant laws, said a police official.

A house was burgled in the limits of Civil Lines police on Thursday. Ali Akbar lodged a report with the police that thieves had entered his house by breaking the locks and made away with Rs9,000 cash, a television, a desktop computer and other valuables worth thousands of rupees.


Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Muhammad Saeed, a resident of Raja Ikram Colony, lodged a complaint with the same police that his employees, Tanveer Ahmed, Muhammad Akhlaq and Azad Mir, allegedly stole cash and electronics from his house.  The police registered a case against the suspects but have not arrested them yet. Moreover, the same police seized a 30-bore pistol with two bullets from Bilal, a 30-bore pistol with three bullets from Zohaib, and a 30-bore pistol with two bullets from Ali. Cases have been registered under relevant laws, said a police official.
