Count all the large and small problems the people of Pakistan, locally referred to as the awaam, face every single day of their lives.
Then watch this rap song by Faris Shafi.
From poverty to mood swings, joblessness to illiteracy and loadshedding to lawlessness, every problem the public faces is featured in the Urdu/English rap song titled Awaam by Faris Shafi, featuring Mooroo.
The six-minute long video of the song follows a nice, catchy storyline. A parody talk show called “Larai Larai Maaf Karo” (Give up fighting) also pops up in the middle, mocking the everyday shows that are aired on Pakistani television.
The song ends with a message for the awaam, asking them to give up fighting and promote education.
Video rating: Two thumbs for highlighting basic issues in a creative way.

I second "Listner" Seems like this is a start of using profanity openly in Urdu songs. People who are admiring the concept and message behind the song are too naive to see the obvious obscene musical culture this song will pave the way for!
Show it to Chief Justice!! may be he will get little inspiration too.
@Listner: read
Warning: video contains explicit lyrics
Every now and then we get to see such songs in which all our "Problems" are sung out. I wonder if our youth does not know any "Solutions" to sing?
now war begins Punjabi berger V/S sindh ka berger :) EPIC song :)
Remove this video from your web, it is rubbish
groovy melody, brilliantly timed natural rap, good lyrics, wadera ka beta was a different league, this is proper rap... and yes i love the cool it attitude... keep it up guys
Khurram, it has nothing to do with Karachi or Lahore or anywhere else, where this video is made. So keep your complexes limited to yourself.
I do not compare this video with any other work, but even by itself, it is crap, vulgar and not even entertaining. I don't understand, why do people gauge the creativity of something by its obscenity.
very relevant and to the point!! great work guys!!
Brilliant stuff. Waderai ka beta was a nice gimmick, but this is serious rap. Hats off to Faris and Mooroo.
Also, haterz gonna hate.
Its ok even though some things said in the song are factually wrong.
Junk. Utter Junk
Author must have warned the general public about the offensive language. I liked the storyline and video quality btw
Seriously, you dnt post videos with such words.
I like it
I second the first comment : )
@Listner
I assume you forgot to unmute while listening.
I like the song and the whole concept but tribune should really review things up before posting.
The song has language profanity and it is posted here for general public without any warning? and I'm surprised the author while reviewing missed pointing it out? Please correct.
Utter Crap. Usless rapping . The song basically has no story line. I think after the success of Wadera ka beta these guys wanted to hop on to the rap bandwagon. The language used is also offensive. The girl in the video is very ugly. What more?
