Women entrepreneurs: Indonesian delegation to visit Pakistan

The delegation will focus on the garment industry as well as jewellery.

JAKARTA: Chairman of the Induk Koperasi Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia (Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Parent Cooperative), Ir Sharmila accompanied by two women entrepreneurs called on Pakistan Ambassador to Indonesia, Sanaullah on Wednesday and discussed measures to improve trade and commercial relations between Indonesia and Pakistan. Sharmila, who is also an active member of the Golkar Party, agreed with the envoys’ suggestion to participate in the Pakistan expo 2012 being held in Karachi in the first week of October, 2012. She said that she would undertake a 20-member delegation of women entrepreneurs to Karachi and other cities of Pakistan. The delegation will focus on the garment industry as well as jewellery. She requested that the embassy may kindly arrange meetings for the delegation with Pakistani women entrepreneurs and government officials responsible for exports from Pakistan. Sanaullah reassured them that during their stay in Pakistan, their meetings with all the relevant business and women associations and reliable exporters will be arranged.
