Got bread?: ‘Overcharging naan shops to be closed’

Karachi Commissioner says that no person would be allowed to overcharge consumers.

KARACHI: Karachi Commissioner Roshan Ali Shaikh directed the city’s deputy and assistant commissioners to close down bread shops (tandoor shops) in their respective areas that sell flatbread at higher rates. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Shaikh said that no person would be allowed to overcharge consumers and that prices of essential commodities across marketplaces in the city should mirror the official price of Rs7 per naan.
