Eid indulgence: Alcohol lands dozens in hospital

LAHORE: Over 50 patients were brought to the emergency wards at Mayo Hospital, Services Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore General Hospital and Jinnah Hospital during Eid holidays for excessive alcohol drinking, data obtained by The Express Tribune has revealed. Other patients included those suffering from gastroenteritis. Outpatient Departments (OPDs) were closed, which resulted in a rush at the Emergency Departments at public hospitals.
