Growing green: Plantation drive kicks off in AJK

15,000 saplings will be planted in Mirpur Division alone on 2,620 acres.

A similar week-long tree plantation drive has been started in different parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), in which over a million saplings will be planted throughout the state, official sources said on Wednesday.

They said that over 15,000 saplings will be planted in Mirpur Division alone on 2,620 acres. They said that to meet the target, people from all walks of life are being engaged in the campaign.
