Four people were injured by celebratory aerial gunshots following the sighting of the Eid moon

Four people were injured by celebratory aerial gunshots following the sighting of the Eid moon on Saturday in Bannu.


A medic at the Bannu DHQ Hospital told i that the four injured had been rushed to the hospital. He identified three of the victims as Sumai Bibi, Rabia Bibi and Nadra Bibi. In another incident of aerial firing, a man was killed and two minors were injured in Nawar Khel village around 15 kilometres south of the city of Lakki Marwat. A police official said that unidentified men were firing gunshots to celebrate the eve of Eid injuring two children, Zeeshan and Amjid Ali, while an elderly man, who was not identified, was killed on the spot after a stray bullet hit him in the head. An FIR was registered against the unidentified culprits.
