HU BCom exams: Top 20 positions grabbed by female students

Not just the top three, but all top 20 positions in the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree exams of Hazara University this year have been grabbed by female students.


This was announced by the Hazara University (HU) Controller Exams Prof Zoq Akhtar on Saturday. He said that a total of 2,902 candidates appeared in the annual exam, of which 1,757 (61%) passed.

Mariya Shakil (Roll No. 90021) of Govt College of Commerce and Management Sciences Abbottabad topped the exam by scoring 1,189 marks, Madiha Kanwal Abbasi (Roll No. 90552) of Global College of Commerce Lora secured second position with 1,126 marks, while Haleema Jalil (Roll No. 90556) of Global College of Commerce Lora, and Noman Sajjad (Roll No. 90531) and Shahbaz Rasheed (Roll No. 90547) of Muslim College of Commerce Abbottabad shared the third position in the exam, the controller exams said.

Prof Akhtar said that detail marks certificates of all the candidates have been to their educational institutions and uploaded on the university’s website. He asked the candidates to contact the controller’s office in case of any problem in collection of their certificates.

Meanwhile, HU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Sakhawat Shah have congratulated the successful candidates and expressed hope that they will contribute towards the economic wellbeing and progress of the country.

I am glad to note that girls in KP are coming up in education.

The boys should also concentrate on their studies and must work hard to compete with the girls in KP.
