Resistance: Man killed, son injured in robbery

FAISALABAD: A man was killed and his son was injured on Tuesday night in the Ghulam Muhammad Abad area. Police said two armed men entered Asghar’s house in D-Block of Mohallah Hoshyarpur and held up the family. The men began to round up cash and jewellery. When Asghar tried to stop them he was shot. His son Muhammad  Akhtar, 24, stepped forward and was shot too as the men fled. The injured were taken to Allied Hospital for medical aid where Asghar died, Akhtar was said to be in a serious condition. Operations SSP Sadiq Ali Dogar and Lyallpur Town SP Zahid Mehmood Gondal visited the scene.
