Relatives of Adiyala jail stage protests

Express April 09, 2010

RAWALPINDI:

Relatives of seven Adiyala jail inmates have staged protests outside the prison after authorities failed to release the prisoners despite court orders to do so.

The inmates have not been released as Rawalpindi DCO Imdad Allah Bosaal has extended their detention by thirty days.

The relatives have strongly protested the extension, and have demanded immediate implementation of the court's release orders. The suspects have been set free by Rawalpindi Anti Terrorism Court Number Two.

They had been accused of attacking former president Pervez Musharraf, the GHQ, and ISI's Hamza Camp.
