The Rawalpindi police on Sunday arrested one of three men who had escaped from the custody of the Sadiqabad Police a month ago. The escape led to the suspension of all concerned police officials.
According to a police spokesperson, the Sadiqabad Police arrested Ruhul Hasnain and recovered a car snatched at gunpoint last Sunday and a 30 bore pistol from his possession. They also arrested his accomplices Fateh Khan and Sakina Bibi.
Hasnain, Imtiaz Hussain and Junaid Yar escaped from the Khanna Pul Police Post in Sadiqabad after they were arrested for robberies and car snatchings. The Sadiqabad police arrested Junaid a day after his escape and continued efforts to locate and arrest the other two escapees, a police press release stated.
