LONDON: Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers returned to his former club Swansea to sign Joe Allen. Allen was at Anfield on Thursday to watch Liverpool’s 3-0 Europa League win over FC Gomel and the 22-year-old has finally completed his long-awaited move for a transfer fee reported to be around £15 million. Speaking after passing his medical on Friday, Allen told Liverpool’s website, “I feel incredible. Everyone knows the history of this club, it’s a massive club, and I’m delighted to have joined. The passion that people here have for football is something I share and I want to be part of that. I’m looking forward to being part of some great years ahead for Liverpool.”
