When it comes down to defining what fashion really is, everyone’s definition varies. Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor is one person that is the envy of even the most fashionable. While her style mantra is comfort she experiments with different looks and is bang on trend.

“I have only been called stylish till now. I can only say that there is a lot of time before I become sexy,” says the 27-year-old, emphasising that she doesn’t think she is sexy. The Bollywood diva feels it’s important to show your different sides – look sizzling hot one night and ultra sophisticated the other. “I think we shouldn’t open all our cards at once, some things should be kept under wraps. So, one thing or one look at a time should be revealed,” she adds.

Sonam, who is set to go de-glam in her film Raanjhna, says while she is experimental with her looks in reality, she has donned a simple avatar in most of her films so far. “Actually, in none of my movies, except for Aisha have I been extremely stylish. In Raanjhna it is even simpler. This is actually my third movie where I haven’t worn make-up, I am just wearing simple cotton clothes,” said Sonam.

As far as her advice goes: “Dress for your body, always. I’m pear-shaped, so you’ll always find me wearing a lot of 50s and 60s inspired clothing like nipped waists, fuller skirts and slimmer shift dresses. If you’re dressing just to impress without considering your body type and personality, it could backfire,” she says.
