US embassy issues security alert for August 14, Eid
The emergency message stated that terrorists may take advantage of the upcoming events to attack “US mission personnel, US citizens and other westerners especially at locations where they are known to congregate.”
Indicating these fears, the embassy has asked the US citizens to “maintain good situational awareness, avoid crowds and public places, and keep a low profile during this time.”
Detailing the events that will take place in Islamabad during August 14 and Eidul Fitr – that may fall on August 19 or 20 and continue for three days, the embassy has encouraged its citizens to register with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, which will keep them up to date with important safety and security announcements and can assist in getting in touch with family and friends in an emergency situation.

Congratulations now Pakistan has included in that countries' list where US' citizens are directed to take security measures and are also directed to not to go on the public places during the important events while traveling and roaming..... And if this is so that US' is showing its great concerns for its citizens and cowardice then why US' forces are killing innocent Pakistanis thru any means and manifestations?????? In the sane manners the US' officials first have to cerebrate for Pakistani citizens also.....

Because they have an effective intelligence apparatus - one that spends time monitoring the internet, cell phone traffic and the "bad guys" rather than just following diplomats around.

US security alerts should also be seriously taken by the Pakistanis, though such alerts are only meant for US nationals.
Our administration is not capable for issue such security alerts and this is one of the reason's that a number of Pakistani nationals have been killed and wounded in terrorists/suicide attacks.
US also told to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (Shaheed) not to come to Pakistan, but she came to contest in the general election and finally got killed on December 27, 2007 at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, in a suicide/bomb attack on her way back after addressing the gathering of PPP workers.
What non-sense! do they think we become terrorists on Eid and Independence day... How about PK Embassy in US send out a warning each time they have a blockbuster release of the kinds of Batman!!!
As a gesture of goodwill, the US Embassy should host an Open House Eid party and invite Pakistanis of all walks of life to share mutual joy on this auspicious occasion. That's how allies and friends should be:-)
