KARACHI: The district and sessions judge, Muhammad Yameen, granted bail to Amjad, who was charged in a murder case, as the prosecution could not provide enough evidence to accuse him.

He was arrested on charges of killing Khamisa Khan and an FIR was registered in Malir city police station.

Amjad’s lawyer, Muhammad Rashid Aftab said that Amjad had been falsely implicated in the case as reports show that Khan was killed at a hotel.

Later, he was taken to Sindh Government Hospital in Saudabad and then to Jinnah hospital for post mortem and all of this was completed in just 40 minutes. The bail was set at Rs100,000 and the next hearing has been fixed for August 23.
