Harsh exchange: PTI responds to PML-N accusations

PESHAWAR: Prompted by the diatribe made by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khwaja Asif, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa leader Zahid Hussain said that the ‘baseless’ allegations would just hurt the poor cancer patients of Shaukat Khanam Hospital (SKH) and did not in any way serve the PML-N’s political interests. Hussain said that SKH was a welfare trust treating patients irrespective of their caste, religion or political affiliations. “PML-N is creating hurdles in our way as they cannot bear the popularity of Imran Khan,” he said. He added that they will take the case against Asif in court soon to clear the misleading image PML-N was creating.
