Militancy: School blown up in Mohmand Agency

A state run primary school in the Matin area of Mohmand Agency was blown up by militants.

A state run primary school in the Matin area of Mohmand Agency was blown up by militants.


Kali Shabqadar police SHO Gul Shed confirmed the explosion and told The Express Tribune that the area where the blast occurred was on the border of Mohmand and Charsadda. He also said that the school belonged to the Mohmand Agency education department.

In another incident in the Qandaro Sandokhel area of Safi, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were detonated, one after the other, killing one man. The political administration of Safi, while confirming the blast, said that they had launched a search operation in the area and have arrested a number of suspects. A Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson claimed responsibility for both attacks, while calling media in Mohmand from an unconfirmed location.
