Teamwork: ‘SAARC must focus on regionalism’

Saarc countries must exploit their respective potential for rising together as a region that can lead to peace

ISLAMABAD:

Senate Chairman Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari on Thursday urged the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) countries to follow the European Union and Association of Southeast Asian Nation model for strong economic and trade relations as the world was moving towards regionalism.

“The Saarc countries must exploit their respective potential for rising together as a region that can lead to ultimate peace, progress and prosperity for the people of the region,” said Bokhari.
