Pak-Afghan commerce: Pakistanis to get business visas

KARACHI: President of Pakistan Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) M Zubair Motiwala has welcomed the announcement made by the Afghan government to grant multiple visas to the Pakistani businessmen saying this will significantly strengthen bilateral relationship between the two countries. The PAJCCI recently submitted draft proposals to the Ministry of Commerce proposing that the procedure for issuance of multiple visas to Pakistani business community must be simplified. “It is explicit that our embassy enables Afghan businessmen in obtaining multiple entry visa facility promptly and with great ease. It is therefore expected that the same mechanism may be deployed by Afghanistan to facilitate our businessmen leading to enhancement of bilateral relationship between the two countries,” PAJCCI had stated. It was also recommended that in case of those Pakistani businessmen who have made developed business creditability in Afghanistan, must be given a five-year multiple entry visa or at minimum a one-year multiple entry visa.
