Rohingya Muslims: Zardari writes letter to Myanmar president
In a letter addressed to the President of Myanmar, Zardari called for hastening the process of rehabilitation of Rohingya Muslims so that they can return to their homes and lead a safe and secure life.
The president added that the government and the people of Pakistan were saddened to learn about the losses of the Muslims and were deeply concerned about their plight.
Underlining the importance of peaceful coexistence of various communities for the strengthening of democracy in Myanmar, Zardari said that the communal harmony was imperative to reap the fruits of democracy.
He said that only peaceful coexistence of various communities would ensure that the democratic transition was not reversed.

What goes round comes around. Millions were killed by muslims in last 1300 years in this sub-continent alone. Chakmas (buddhist) were persecuted and killed in east pakistan (now bangladesh) during the 50's and 60's on a regular basis. God's wheel of justice works in strange ways.
india and pakistan has some kind of sibling rivalry.... they are against each other but always together. both of them are inseparable.

There is no need to send letters to Baloch people or Afghanistan. Goevrnment can send good talibans to deliver the message or ask Air Force to drop message bombs. How many people know Pakistan dropped over 10,000 bombs in FATA region since 2008 and how many bad people were killed and what was the collateral damage.

Should president not be writing a letter to the minorities in his own country for being unable to protect them from majority Muslim population. As a Muslim and Pakistani I am ashamed of our government. And I hope that the Myanmar govt responds to the Pakistani Govt quite appropriately.

1) Given the plight of Hindus, Sikhs, Hmadis, Hazara Shias, Balochs in Pakistan, do you think this letter will have any cedibility or will it just result in Pakistan making a fool of itself even in front of Burma? 2) Given that such advice coming from Pakistan has no crediility, do you think it will hae any impact on the plight of Rohingyas? 3) While around 200 Rohingyas have been kiled in Burma (and that is definitely horrible, tens of thousands of Muslims have been killed in Syria by their ownruler. Pakistan is silent about that massacre. If it caed about the umah so much, it should have tried o utilize its influence on higher than mountain friend who is blocking a UNSC resolution. But no - instead, Pakistan itself abstains from this vote.

The word 'Hindu' comes from the word 'Sindhu' which in those days meant the people who are of the origin of the Indus valley civilization which drew its name from the river 'Indus' which is currently in Pakistan (which is therefore the land where 'Hinduism' originated!!) Please educate yourself properly.........

Firstly, Rohingya muslims have a long history of being violent and intolerant to native buddhist, christian and hindu communities, like most muslim communities elsewhere. Simple google search and some book research will show the truth. They are just receiving back, what they have done to others for many years. And there goes my compassion for them down the drain. Secondly, what about minorities who population in pak dwindled from 30% in 1947 to less than 2.5 % in 2010 report? What height of hypocrisy and double faced?
So when is he going to write a letter to China who are forcing Uiyghur Muslims not to fast in Xingjang province??
