KARACHI: Walking away from the American 'terror war' is in the best interest of Pakistan, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Syed Munawar Hasan advocated during a public address in Karachi on Monday.

The JI chief urged the Pakistani army should to not launch a military operation in North Wazirstan on the behest of America. He warned that if such an operation was launched the perception of people about the national security apparatus would take a wrong turn.

Terming the operation as ‘turning our guns towards our own chests’, Hasan said such an action would not provide any solution to our problems, rather, as past military operations had shown, but failed to solve the issues.

The JI, which is part of the umbrella Difa-e-Pakistan Council, a group which proclaims to strive for Pakistani’s protection, said that the Pakistani leadership has to understand that this is not Pakistan’s war, but the war of America, which wants to occupy resources of Muslim Ummah. In order to ensure a free foreign policy, he advocated that Pakistan should ditch this terror war, adding it would also result in stopping of the CIA operated drone attacks, and resolving the Kashmir issue.

Hasan while recounting the historic victory gained by Prophet Mohammad and his meager force on 17th Ramazan. said the forces occupying Muslim countries, killing Muslims populations and those aiding and abetting these forces were troops of Satan. He further warned that the policy of the United of States of America is to occupy the resources of Muslim Ummah in whole world.

The operation, the JI chief said, was America’s plan to destabilise Pakistan. He reminded that the patriotic tribes of North Wazirstan had freed the Azad Jammu and Kashmir, were patriotic Pakistanis, warning such committed Muslims could not be pushed against the wall.

Nato supplies strengthen our enemies

Commenting on the resumption of Nato through supply route through Pakistan, the JI chief said that the act is tantamount to strengthen those who are fighting us.

Hinting at greater accountability of the armed forces, he said the defence budget is met through the taxes of people, who are not happy with the ongoing policies of the regime. He reminded that the incumbent leaders have to understand the basis of the US policy in Pakistan is to pitch Pakistani people against their army.

Hasan also urged a recall of forces from the tribal areas.

JI, PTI, PMLN and other right wing parties refuse to answer the fundamental question. Will Haqqanis and other groups linked with Tehrik e Taliban stop using Pakistani territory as a base camp or shelter if Pakistan quits the war?

I don't think so and you know so that they won't Mr Munawwar Hasan so stop this support of these terrorist organisations and start supporting people of Pakistan.
