Youm-i-Ali: LESCO told to pull up their socks

The company was also told to ensure the availability of three generators along the procession route.

LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) was warned of strict action by the DCO on Monday if electric poles or electricity wires hanging loose cause any accident on Ramzan 21, Hazrat Ali’s (RA) Youm-i-Shahadat.

He said this while chairing a meeting that reviewed arrangements for the Youm-i-Ali procession. He directed Lesco to clean all street lights and to ensure they were working. The company was also told to ensure the availability of three generators along the procession route. WASA, SNGPL and LWMC were also told to depute additional officers on the day.
