Raging river: Chenab inundates 13 villages

SIALKOT: As many as 13 villages were inundated and crops on hundreds of acres were damaged near Bajwat and Chaprar towns due to flood in Chenab River and Tavi River. However, due to early warning and eviction the local people and their cattle remained safe. Although the floodwaters were receding, the Met department has forecast chances of medium to high flood in Chenab in next 24 hours as heavy rains inundate several cities of Punjab.
