Students of QMC continue to protest against principal

Students of the QMC in Bahawalpur have begun the fourth day calling for the removal of principal.

BAHAWALPUR:

The students of the Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Bahawalpur have begun the fourth day calling for the removal of Principal Ijaz Shah.

Students say the Bahawalpur Commissioner is supporting the principal.

They hold him responsible for police action to crush the protest which they claim resulted in students being attacked and beaten.

Students say the police needed the permission of the principal to enter the college premises.

The original protests were against a rise in student fees and persistent loadshedding.
