PANGRIO:

Different crops, including chili, cotton, sugarcane, melons and vegetables, are under attack from pests, owing to cloudy and damp weather persisting over parts of lower Sindh since the last month and a half.

The growers of Pangrio, Tando Bago, Naukot, Jhudo and other areas have expressed concern, as insecticides have also proved ineffective in protecting the crops from the onslaught of pests.

Growers say that besides the damp weather, dusty winds have also caused damage to crops.

They said that if the cloudy weather continued, it would prove harmful for crops. They said that normal rains would benefit the crops, but worried that it has not rained so far.
