KARACHI: Umair Ahmed’s unbeaten half-century helped Kashmore CC defeat Riyadh Cricket League by 33 runs in the 17th Dr MA Shah Night Trophy match at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium. Asked to bat first, Kashmore CC foiled their opponents’ plan by putting up an impressive total of 150 for nine. Ahmed top-scored with 57, hitting five boundaries while Nasarullah chipped in with an important knock of 33. Left-arm spinner Aamir Mirza bagged two wickets. In reply, Riyadh were all out for 117 as medium pacer Imtiaz Ahmed grabbed three scalps. Khawar Riaz scored 24 while Kamran Hussain made 20.
