Two men who were charged with robbing minibus passengers were set free on Thursday by the district and sessions court in Malir.
The 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge Iqbal Ahmed Khawaja acquitted the men, Bashir Khan and Muhammad Arif because the complainant and witnesses did not show up at the hearing.
The complainant, Muhammad Asif, and witnesses, Muhammad Afzal, Saeed Ahmed, Shahid Ali and Mazhar Hussain, had lodged an FIR in the Shah Latif Town police station.
According to the FIR, Khan and Arif, with two other accomplices, robbed the passengers of a bus, including the complainant and the witnesses, near Bhains Colony area.
