ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) top leader Khawaja Asif blamed Imran Khan of speculating in Dubai real estate with the donations he had collected for his charity hospital for cancer patients.
“Imran Khan had transferred Rs4.50 billion outside the country from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital (SKMH) accounts,” alleged Asif at a press conference.
Imran Khan’s Response
The PTI chief denied the allegations. “Endowment fund is meant for investment and our fund of 30 million dollars is a guaranteed amount and contains not a single penny from Shaukat Khanum’s Zakat fund,” Khan said. He said that the endowment fund uses this money for investment and earns profit on it.

maybe its just me.............how hard is it for people to understand that what imran khan did is perfectly legal and every not-for-profit does this.......for everyone questioning imran khan please read up on endowment funds and what they do, Agha Khan Hospital does the exact same thing I personally work with them to invest in FOREIGN investments and currencies.
@Umar Khan: Dear umar khan, decision to invest zaka collection through offshore company to gain profit is not business then what it is, trying to be businessman which he can not be in million years, why he is good only in begging for zaka, charity's does not have vision, courage to be a businessman, cheap try of zaka funds, collected on Allah name for poor Pakistanis. God will punish his and you will see it with your eyes. Zaka stealing is big crime in Islam.
@ Mohd Butt, Since when did Imran Khan became a businessman? Come out of the PMLN dilemma and start using brains. This is the reason why people like IK are kept aside and guilty are ruling us, which is a shame. @ Awans, Look whose talking about hypocrisy! No money was sent outside. You are blaming a person who founded SKMH of stealing without a proof? You will be 100% responsible for even a single penny less by the donors, you will be 100% responsible even if one person changes his mind to donate to SKMH even partially. Open your eyes, our country is a mess because of blind people like you who are not able to choose the right from wrong, from the people who are stealing tax payers money and illegally mining it abroad with the people who are saving other life sacrificing their own.

From where these 30 million $ has come from, zaka donation collected for hospital, And when you collected did you tell donors that their zaka will be invested to make profit, Those who trusted him should ask the account of 30 million dollars. Zaka can be used only for the purpose you collected, for the medical treatment of the poor, your greed of profit is depriving poor their right of treatment. Bring back all the funds 30 million $ to hospital account, pay 211 million from your personal money you lost in Oman business, get out of hospital management. Seek apology from the nation. But first from Allah. Beggar can not be businessman, the courage required to be businessman, you simply don't have it.

Time will be the best judge.... let em harp about Shaukat Khanum's integrity. I am pretty sure that the accusers will find same fate as Malik Riaz did.
That’s exactly what Mr. Asif is accusing you off! So, where this Endowment Fund came from? Donations, right! If not, then you own some kind of industries? Now you will fool the nation by saying that the profit generated from 30 Million dollar would be used to benefit the poor patients at Shaukat Khanum Hospital?
It is a sheer hypocricy that even it is the Endowment fund of Shaukat Khanum but why the money was invested in foreign countries. ???. After these revelations in future Mr Imran Khan have no right to question any politicians that what his assets and investments are being invested overseas when the institution under his supervision is actually involved in foreign investments like other Politicians. Philanthropy is being exploited by PTI and obviously PMLN have a democratic right to question then. Blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to the acts of charity is not charity in my view and Mr Imran Khan should learn as well along with PTI.
