KARACHI:
The Malir District and Sessions court charged a woman, Rabia, with aiding and abetting three men in the abduction of her 21-year-old maid, Parveen, and selling her to three men.
“You sold her to three unknown men who held her captive and raped her over a period of a year and half,” said the District and Sessions court Judge Muhammad Yamin, while reading out the charges against Rabia on Wednesday.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty and said that she wanted the case to go to trial after the charges were read out to her in court.
Parveen alleged that she was sold to three men by her employer for Rs200,000. Parveen was found near her village, Rukanpur in Rahim Yar Khan. Her mother and uncle brought her to Karachi and presented her before the Citizens Police Liaison Committee.
