Militant attack : Truck carrying sugar blown up

GHALLANAI: A Hino truck transporting sugar to the Afghan province of Ningrahar from Peshawar was blown by militants in the Yaqoobo area of Afghanistan on Monday. Mohmand Agency’s Baizai Sub-Division Assistant Political Agent Ghazi Nawaz told The Express Tribune that while the truck driver, his conductor and the sugar were seized by the assailants, another Nato truck behind it was turned back to Pakistan. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the incident till the filing of the report. It was also believed that the targeted truck might have been a Nato supply vehicle, but the administration denied it and claimed that it was a local supply truck.
