Power solution: Landi Kotal gets solar lights

One kilometre road of Sarai Bazaar along with the installation of 12 street lights in the bazaar cost Rs13 million.

LANDIKOTAL: The installation of 12 solar-powered street lights along with the construction of one kilometre road in Landikotal subdivision of Khyber Agency was completed by the fund allotted by the political agent of Khyber Agency. Assistant political agent of Landikotal Khalid Mumtaz Kundi said that they have completed construction of one kilometre road of Sarai Bazaar along with the installation of 12 street lights in the bazaar at a cost of Rs13 million. He said that two of the solar lights were installed in the emergency and labour room of the Agency Headquarters Hospital while the rest were fitted at Bacha Khan Square, main Torkham Road, Railway Line and Zakhakhel Bus Stand. Amjad Ali, general secretary of Sarai Bazaar traders union, said that the solar lights and the road would help boost trade in the area.
