Maryam Nawaz proud of father's decision to suspend husband Capt Safdar
Maryam Nawaz, who is also Captain Safdar’s wife, tweeted on the micro-blogging site that she was glad her father preferred justice and equality over family relations.
She said this negated the notion that PML-N is a family party, adding that no one is above the law and the party stands for the rule of law, justice and fairness.
I am glad that my father preferred justice & equity over familial relations. This is an unexampled step which negated the notion that PMLN is a family party or patronises favouritism. No one is above law. Justice & fairness must prevail. PMLN stands for rule of law.
Earlier on Saturday, facing threats of mass resignations from workers, Nawaz had issued a directive suspending the basic membership of Captain (retd) Safdar, who is the chief organiser of the party’s youth wing.
Maryam also spoke on behalf of her husband, tweeting that he had taken the action positively and vowed to abide by party rules and regulations, adding that the Sharifs keep politics and family matters separate.

Reiterating on how proud she was of her father’s stance on the issue, Maryam said that there was no discrimination in the party when it came to taking action on disciplinary matters, including her own daughter.
Theres no discrimination when it comes 2 discipline, be it Nawaz Sharifs own daughter. Am proud of u father.

If there is nothing wrong with Maryams's marriage, then Safdar will be exonerated. Otherwise, Nawaz will act in the fake garb of a man of principles.

Families have falling outs all the time. They're usually more severe, too. Clashing with people who know a great deal about you allows for some pretty brutal in the moment-emotion based shots in all your weak points. Of course I'm giving an extreme example, which this incident is not. But, negative actions against family members doesn't change that aspect at all. After all, you could technically just replace them with another family member.
Capt. Safdar should add 'Sharif' to his name to fix this problem.

PML(N) is a family party but not in the negative sense. Its leaders and members are like a family. Its the first choice for sons, daughters and other family members of its leaders and common members because they believe in its cause and mission. Unlike its rival party in which close relatives of its leader do not trust his mission.
And what about those life long members and two ex CMs who were called mir jaffar and mir sadiq? You are so emotional because ur husband got suspended for 10 days, and trying to take full credit for the topi drama, lekin sharif family ke elawa kisee iur kee koi auqat hay pmln main?

Yes, PML(N) is a family party. The sons, daughters and other family members of its leaders and ordinary memers live like a big family. Any Objection? If your family members don't trust you and don't join your party then change your attitude and fix the problem, don't blame us.
How come Capt. Safdar was the President of Youth Wing, Shahbaz Chief minister, Nawaz President of party, Hamza Shahbaz also an important figure in the party and the Party's name is 'PML (Nawaz Sharif)'. What democracy is that?

Coming from the Daughter of the Chief of PML-N; her husband was the leader of their Youth Wing while her uncle is the Chief Minister. Her grandfather (another politician) just happened to have Muhammad Tarar installed as the country's President while Sharif was PM. I am sorry but if this is not a family party then is PTI a family party? PPP and PML-N are both hurdles for democracy, the sooner our population realizes it the better for them!

Disciplinary action against Capt Safdar has clearly demonstrated that PML-N is a democratic party, where no one is above party discipline ..

It really becomes evident Maryam Nawaz says things like (i paraphrase): "my father, the president of the party, suspended the leader of the youth wing of the party, who just happens to be my husband. How do I feel as a conflicted daughter and wife? Let me spin it this way: my father is great for taking this bold decision, my husband is great for humbly accepting. We are just a great family...I mean party"
What happened to Nawaz Sharif asphixation with Musharraf? When I dont see a news in which Nawaz and co. do not mention Musharraf surprises me. In any case this is all a drama to drum up support. They are using media as a tool.
