Tax net: 33,528 new tax-payers notified

Income Tax officials are checking bank accounts, property record to identify potential tax-payers.

FAISALABAD: Regional Income Tax Office has notified 33,528 new tax-payers in Faisalabad division, Additional Income Tax Commissioner Dr Muhammad Akram Khan told The Express Tribune on Saturday. He said notices would soon be issued to more people in these districts who had not been paying any income tax. He said raids to recover tax would also start soon. He said the Income Tax officials were checking bank accounts and record of property and sale and purchase of vehicles to identify potential tax-payers.
