
Durrani said that he can also name the officers who acted as the couriers if the court asks him to.
In his statement, Durrani maintained that he distributed only Rs70 million out of the total Rs140 million and the remaining money was deposited in ISI’s special fund account. He added that he distributed the money on the orders of then army chief General Aslam Beg.
Air Marshal (retd) Asghar Khan, in his petition filed in 1996, had requested the court to look into allegations that the ISI had provided Rs140 million to create the Islamic Jamhoori Ittehad to harm Benazir Bhutto’s election campaign.
