University of Peshawar: K-P minister to upgrade standards

PESHAWAR: K-P Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that efforts will be made to ensure that University of Peshawar is amongst the best universities of the world. Iftikhar said the provincial government is prioritising higher education. He claimed eight universities had been established in their tenure, while in the past 60 years nine universities had been made. He added that the K-P government launched ‘Stori Da Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’ educational programme, restructured the teaching cadre and upgraded the posts of teachers.
