Road accident: One killed, another wounded

Driver in a bid to save a passerby, lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into a stationary truck

ABBOTABAD: A man was killed while another was critically injured when a Parado van collided with a stationary truck at Supply Bazaar here on Wednesday. The sources said that Faizan and his younger brother, Farman, residents of Jinnahabad Colony were returning home from the city area on their Parado van (BD-2164). While passing through Supply Bazaar, the driver who was reportedly driving at high speed, in a bid to save a passerby, lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into a stationary truck (GLT 1235). Due to the severe impact, a portion of the car was completely damaged, killing Faizan and leaving Farman injured. Rescue workers took the body and the injured to Ayub Medical Complex, where the condition of the injured was reported to be critical.
