Euromoney awards: MCB named ‘Best Bank in Pakistan’

KARACHI: MCB Bank, for the 9th time has been named ‘Best Bank in Pakistan’ by the highly respected UK based magazine, Euromoney, for the bank’s impressive performance and growth in the year. 22nd Euromoney awards attracted the world’s leading banks and brokerage houses. Euromoney’s dedicated research team and awards panel rated over 600 submissions on both quantitative and qualitative factors over the past 12 months. Commenting on why the MCB Bank was selected for the award, Euromoney Editor Clive Horwood explained, “The bank’s growth and success story has continued in 2011. The bank has shown resilience by managing best banking practices in a challenging economy. Their staffs showed the professional acumen that shielded the bank much better than its counter parts from any shocks.” MCB Bank President M Usmani said, “This award recognises MCB Bank’s record of strong organic growth.
