Moin’s academy to host Ramazan event

Winning team guaranteed Rs0.5m in 8-team competition.

KARACHI:


The Moin Khan Cricket Academy at DHA Sports Club in Karachi will host a 15-day Ramazan Twenty20 cricket tournament comprising the winning side set to pocket Rs 500,000.


The Advance Telecom 2nd Corporate T20 Cup 2012 will be contested by Advance Telecom, HBL, UBL, NBP, SBP, Candyland, Port Qasim and Omar Associates. These teams may also comprise national team players if granted the permission by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The tournament will commence from July 28 and will go on till August 11.

“Such energetic events help in developing and expanding the local cricket clubs and encourage fitness activities among the youth,” said Moin Khan, the CEO of Moin Khan Academy, DHA Sports Club. “Fresh resources are thus created for coaching and training of regional and corporate sector teams. The corporate sector, media enterprises and celebrities should continue to support and nurture sports activities.”
