DAG tells court: Special court judges being notified

Notifications are to fill vacant posts in special courts.

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Attorney General Aleem Abbasi informed a three member bench of the Supreme Court that the Federal government has issued notifications to fill all vacant posts of judges. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain were hearing the case on shortage of judges in special courts. Deputy Attorney General Aleem Abbasi informed the court that the notifications have been issued to fill the vacant posts of judges in special courts including banking, anti-terrorism and anti-corruption and central judge Karachi and Hyderabad.
