Vice chancellor of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha has urged students to enhance their skills and apply their knowledge for the uplift of farmers’ community.
He was addressing at the inaugural session of a summer teaching camp for the students of non-accredited institution on Tuesday.
“When you enter professional life, you find less time for learning,” he said. He stressed the need for students to focus on their studies and overcome their educational shortcomings.
“If you want to stay in veterinary profession, you need to do practical work, otherwise you would not be able to perform confidently,” he added.
The UVAS VC said that the purpose of the summer camp was to accommodate students from three non-accredited institutions as they were facing troubles in finding jobs and improving their practical skills. Almost 100 students from Multan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Jhang and Lasbela will get an eight-week training in the camp.
