Anti-Corruption Court issues arrest warrants for Malik Riaz, son
Special Judge Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal ordered the anti-corruption department to arrest the two respondents and present them before the court on July 23.
Other respondents in the case also appeared before the anti-corruption court.
Last month, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had taken a suo motu notice against chief justice's son Dr Arsalan Iftikhar and Riaz, following media reports that Iftikhar had received between Rs300 and Rs400 million from the businessman to influence judicial proceedings.
Riaz had later held a press conference holding a pocket-sized copy of the Holy Quran, unleashing allegations against the chief justice. The court had sent him a contempt of court notice over the press conference. But, the contempt of court law was amended a few days before the Supreme Court had decided to indict Riaz, forcing the apex court to adjourn the indictment hearing.
On Monday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had also issued fresh notices to Riaz to appear before investigators probing the Arsalan-Riaz case.

Who is asking these questions? At last I don't know and i disown them. This is called justice, after all he showed courage to openly blame irslan and his father, he does not know holy cows can not be blamed. will the other party be arrested? Or justice is blind? Unfortunately to whom Pakistani bet even they are few meter away from winning line he lose., why this always happen to us????

I don't have slightest of sympathy with anyone corrupt. Be it Zaradari and Benazir, be it Sharifs, be it IK, be it Chaudhrys, be it Arsalan, be it CJ, or be it Malik Riaz. I know one thing for sure that in this corrupt system of ours, no one can get so rich in this short time frame without corruption, bribery, and using unfair means. Period. However, I think, which may be wrong, that IK and CJ are the least corrupt of all the above, if not at all.
While father and son of one family who went public with the proofs have warrants the other father and son are sitting pretty in their posh homes. This is called justice PCO style and not Pakistani constitution where everybody should be equal. Malik Riaz should have kept quiet and not gone public for his own good.
Then what Malik Riaz will become president/PM in future. This is history of pakistan.
Let him go into a fair trial and investigate that how he did he earn much money in no time. He tried to effect the performance of Honorable judiciary. Punch him and get justice to the poor people for the lands he occupied by his money and relations.

No one is understanding the real issue. Arrest warrents of Malik Riaz and his son are issued because they are not attending the court. Their case is under trial so they should defend themselves in the Anti Corruption court. If they will appear in the court, their warrents will automatically cancelled. It is happening daily in the courts. If the courts powers are withdrawn then nobody will appear in the court which will lead collape of the entire system.They should respect courts. This is old case and it has nothing to do with Arsalan case
This all is power politics and a common man has no concern in these affairs.
This is the the third time arrest warrants have been issued for him. Whats the big fuss now? Its not as if they are going to be implemented. The last time Rwp police went to arrest him on court orders 6 weeks ago, the Isb police detained them!

Malik kept retired officers around him and thought that he was safe to commit any crime, but forgot that all those officers were spent forces and would not save him from the same corrupt system in which he himself sprang. If he had considered money spent on Chaudhry's family as 'Sadaqa" for his sins, and moved on, nobody would have touched him. Now system knows his weaknesses and ability of powerless, useless retired officers who work for him, therefore everyone will take their share of pie. From now on, Malik's whole life will be spent in police stations, courts, and prisons. He is a stupid person, who tried to cut the tree branch on which he was himself sitting.

Dear Mr. Adeel, Hi, Your comments are welcomed, but please try to take things in positive and practical manners, you don't have any proof against CJ, yes, his or anybody son can commit sins, but it does not matter that the punishment can be given to his/her father. Being a Muslim you should know Hazrat Nooh Son was left behind, his father was not able to save him even he was the son of Prophet. So kindly wait and see, things will be cleared soon, no one is above the law even CJ. If anyone on this position commit mistake can be caught easily man. Looks like all those 360 million he spent on Arsalan went down the drain. Finally up to face the music. It is impossible in Pakistan to accumulate so much wealth with honesty and fair dealings.

This is persecution and not prosecution, it's a message to people that no matter what they will get to those who they consider adversary if anyone challenges the powers that be he is not safe. I condemn this and consider it an act of terroririzing a citizen. Period.
Malik Riaz needs to be grilled properly by the Police.
If he will cooperate with the law enforcing agencies in telling the truth and revealing the names of his accomplices, he may get a lighter sentence, otherwise the crimes which he has committed in cheating the people and grabbing the land is supposed to be a non-bailable offence.
The Police should take the account from the day when he stepped in and starting earning from the day one and how he became in the shortest possible time one of the richest men in Pakistan?

Iftikhar Chaudhry is now only trying to save his son. What surprises me is the fact that how is it that his son has a Range Rover and he doesn't know about it. Iftikhar Chaudry is equally corrupt as his wife and son. The only difference is that no proof exists against him but that does not make him innocent.

Arsalan Iftikhar is so corrupt. Pakistan knows it, the whole world knows it but no arrest warrants issued against him. Judiciary is not acting objectively and bias is clearly evident.
Iftikhar Chaudhry is now playing pressure tactics to force Malik Riaz to take back his comments about his son and wife. What Chaudhry is doing against Malik Riaz is all for saving Arsalan Iftikhar.
If he has violated law he should be arrested as per law; unless of-course the National Assembly passes a bill exempting it or President grants Immunity
