Higher Education: KU holds workshop

KARACHI: Karachi University’s biochemistry department organised its first international workshop on ‘PhD, Education, Training and Supervision’ on Friday. 

It was held under the auspices of International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) Education Committee. The department’s chairperson, Prof Nikhat Ahmed Siddiqui, gave a presentation on ‘An overview of PhD, education in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Pakistan’ whereas ‘An International Perspective on PhD Education: ORPHEUS initiative’, was presented by Prof Zdravko Lackovic, president of ORPHEUS.
